So I’m on this cleanse. Because sometimes all the bittersweet chocolate ganache just starts getting to you, y’know? Right. So. My cleanse is pretty simple, more of a hitting the reset button than anything else, and it peaks with a 1 day juice/liquids fast. Which is—you guessed it—TODAY! And to start the day off right (as we all know, things can go seriously awry when you’re attempting to subsist on liquids alone), I sliced open a juicy canteloupe and started prepping for cantaloupe lime mint ginger juice. As dedicated K&C readers know, I don’t own a juicer, so you’ll have to tolerate my using my Vita-Mix to make the kind of juicy juice that has some fiber still left in it (which I actually love). P.S. This is far and away my new favorite juice. It’s SO EFFING GOOD.

  • ½ large cantaloupe
  • ½ lime
  • ¼ inch piece ginger (or more to taste)
  • 10-12 fresh mint leaves
  • 4 ice cubes cracked

Instructions

  1. Place cantaloupe in Vita-Mix in large chunks, with lime and ginger. Use food tamper to compress and blend until juicy. Turn off blender and add ice. Blend until frothy, then add mint leaves and blend on high until they’re little flecks. Pour and enjoy!
